OVERVIEW

Over the last few years, the Oil & Gas Industry has being experiencing decreasing oil prices, declining profitability, massive layoffs and reduced production.
The new challenges ahead require cost reductions, enhancements in efficiency, improvement in profitability, investments in new technologies and innovations in order to survive this tough economic environment.

At TTM associates we have the experience and the solutions that can enable an organisation to become a leader in the Oil & Gas Industry.

INDUSTRY TRENDS & CHALLENGES

The Oil & Gas Industry has being in crisis and experiencing turmoil since the drastic drop in oil prices, from $110 per barrel in 2011 to $35 per barrel in 2014. This has led to extensive restructuring in the industry, including massing layoffs and a focus on reducing costs and improving efficiency.

The tough environment over the last few years has shaped the industry and created new trends.. During 2017, oil prices have increased marginally up to $50 per barrel, still the current situation in the industry is still far from the booming times of 2008-2011.

CHANGING MINDSETS
& BEHAVIOURS:

Organisations in the industry, especially NOCs in the Middle East, need to focus on cost reduction and efficiency improvements in order to be competitive in an environment with reduced oil prices. At the same time, great improvements can be achieved via investing in new technologies.

The above critical changes require a significant shift in Corporate Culture and Behaviours. A new strategy in Workforce Management is required in all layers of the organisation.
