Jean Luc Kastner, PhD, Bsc Engineering, Managing Partner


Jean-Luc is a managing partner in TTM Associates, and he heads the strategy, marketing and customer management practice area team. He has been involved very early in his business career in creativity and innovation processes.

While managing an international marketing team at Hewlett Packard in Germany he has been instrumental in the development of key creative processes such as the mind mapping technology with Tony Buzan as well as the KJ method with the CQM Team. Jean-Luc has developed a specific and widely used process based on cognitive preferences and mind management. These simple processes are widely used today in blue chip companies and in creative teams such as the storywriters of Egmont Books.

Jim Bennett, Senior Associate


Jim Bennett, MSc (Eng), MIFireE, CMIOSH , MCIMgt is a coach and a senior consultant at TTM associates. His work includes a focus on changing behavioural leadership practice in the international oil and gas sector.

He specialises in improving business performance, health and wellbeing and he is also a Chartered Safety Engineer with valuable operational and project management experience.
Jim is versatile with a broad portfolio of proven advisory, organisational change management and facilitation skills, developed in the off/onshore oil and exploration/petrochemical industry. Additionally, he has joint venture, project development and training experience with previous successes in Major Accident Hazard prevention, Health and Safety Leadership and operational performance improvement.
During the last 45 years Jim has worked and conducted training courses, workshops and consultancy assignments for a variety of companies including BP Exploration and Development, and as a Health, Safety, Security, Environmental Adviser to ETAP/CNS Asset, BIS Salamis Offshore Oil and Gas, and UK BP on and offshore Oil and Gas. He was also the Principal Trainer/Coach on Process Safety Management to Kuwait National Oil Corporation and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) – underpinned by Human Factors/personnel change management for peak performance, and was Principal Trainer for KOC HSE Management System and an Executive Business Coach on HSE Leadership and Human Factors.
Furthermore, Jim has also managed large transformation projects concerning behavioral Leadership & safety, delivered globally and in the Middle East region.

John Leach, Senior Associate and Management Consultant


After his undergraduate studies in economics, John started his career in marketing with Cadbury Schweppes in Birmingham, working on a range of products in the foods group of the company.

He then returned to University to take a masters degree in business at Bradford University Management Centre. After graduation he moved into business to business marketing with CPC (UK) Ltd, the leading supplier of starches and glucose. From there he moved into a quasi-academic role at Huddersfield University, where he specialized in working with part-time students and with in-company clients.
At this time he was invited to become a visiting presenter at the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and this led to increased in-company work and in 1984 he resigned from the University to become a self employed marketing consultant.

John Brooker, Senior Strategy & Innovation Consultant


John’s career commenced with service in the Royal Air Force. He joined Visa International in 1985, becoming a senior vice president in 1996, with senior management experience of innovating and transforming services.

Examples include: implementing the Visa ATM network; conceiving and developing the Visa Business School; product development, including internet and electronic banking services; centralizing customer support from across Europe into a London centre. He worked regularly with US colleagues to coordinate projects globally.
John is now firmly established as an educator and facilitator of repute. Vastly experienced, he regularly works in western and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with international companies, helping teams to create original solutions that obtain a ‘Yes! And…’ response.
He is renowned for his ability with multi – cultural groups. Inspiring teams to be creative while providing a great focus on achieving the outcomes. He uses a range of methods and techniques to help teams think creatively and remain energized. John believes in giving people in organizations their voice through powerful facilitation and communication; creating innovation capability; making transformation simpler and encouraging improvisation for business.
He is a highly rated tutor for the Open University Business School’s Masters level module ‘Creativity, Innovation and Change’ programme.

Magdi Hassan, MBA, MCIM, MHBDI, Director and Principal Consultant, Middle East, Turkey & Africa


Magdi Hassan is Egyptian by birth and currently lives in Cyprus where he manages the TTM associates MENA & Turkey office and commutes between, Dubai, Istanbul and London. Magdi previously resided in Egypt & Saudi Arabia and works across many countries including, UK, Belgium, France, Turkey, Greece, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

He studied pharmaceutical sciences and commenced his entrepreneurship adventures in the early 90s while he was still studying in the Faculty of Pharmacy. Magdi started his practical life early – when still a student he opened his retail pharmacy in order to secure a good future for himself.
Magdi’s career thereafter focused on the fields of strategy, marketing, sales and customer management in the pharmaceutical industry. For the past 20 years he has pursued his career development in various international companies including Rhone Poulenc (Sanofi-Aventis) and Organon NV in the Middle East.
During this period, he gained the experience of launching and marketing many products in the Middle East. Also Magdi combines pragmatic knowledge and experience of managing and doing business in the Middle East while at the same time he has the awareness and understanding of international business culture.
He currently consults global organizations in Eastern Mediterranean countries on Time to Market, Strategy Formulation and Implementation, Customer Management and Portfolio Management. Magdi is a subject-matter expert and a consultant for TMC.
He holds degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and an MBA from Henley Management School, UK. Magdi is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a certified practitioner for the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument, France. Magdi is married and has 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. He enjoys reading about history and cultural differences and he likes playing soccer and squash.

Marius Pretorius, Senior Associate & Strategy Consultant


Dr. Marius has 25 years training at university level and is a managing member of Management Transfer cc. He is a HBDI practitioner with 18 years business experience.

And he is currently an associate professor in strategy, leadership and turnaround at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Dr. Marius has worked with clients in the banking, manufacturing, FMCG and service sectors. Among his clients are: Coca-Cola, Central Bank Swaziland, BMW, Development Bank of South Africa, Nedbank, Van Wyk & Basson Building Contractors, Pietersburg Chamber of Business, Department of Public Works, Roads & Transport of Mpumalanga Government, NRE Fuel & Gas distributers – Ladysmith, Northern Province Department of Public Transport, Megamed Group of Pharmacies, Northern Transvaal Steel and Reinforcing and many more.
He has worked in many different parts of the world, throughout Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, the Far East. He particularly enjoys the challenge of working in a multi-cultural environment.
