This publication emphasizes three major mistakes that senior leaders usually do that have negative effects on the performance of their division and the organisation as a whole.
Lack of focus and clear priorities among senior Leadership teams leads to wasted resources, confusion among teams and employees’ ineffectiveness.
At the same time, creating unhealthy rivalries among departmental heads, leads to information hoaxing, distrust, and lack of accountability. The outcome is declining team performance, inefficiencies and reduced employee commitment.
Finally, unproductive conflict handling among senior leaders encourages people to speak negatively behind each other’s backs, and encourages pocket vetoing decisions. As a result, employees’ engagement suffers together with productivity and loyalty.
